Bio

​Ashley Dexter graduated in the top 10% of her class from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  Two months later, she began her career as a caseworker in Child Support Services with the Kansas Department for Children and Families.  Ashley held a generic caseload handling all aspects of the case including intake, locate, establishment, paternity, enforcement, intergovernmental, and financials.  Two years later, she was promoted to become a trainer.  Ashley later became a program consultant, IT automation manager, and currently serves as the Deputy IVD Director.  In this role, Ashley is the Project Director for the Kansas Feasibility Study, IRS compliance director, oversees the SDU and full service contracts, central registry, worker’s compensation and personal injury, all IT enhancements, state plan, and data reliability review and audits.  Ashley also manages the OAPD and ad hoc query requests from field staff as well as oversees all system access requests for the child support system.  Ashley served on the Kansas Child Support Enforcement Association from 2006-2012.  She was first voted on the board as President-Elect in 2006, President in 2007, and Past President in 2008.  She then served as a Board of Director until her term limits were met in 2012.  Ashley is a 2016 graduate of NCSEA U and was a NCSEA web talk presenter in October 2017.  Ashley currently leads and facilitates the first NCSEA affinity group wherein membership consists of fellow NCSEA U alumni.
