I am a Kansas native living in the Golden State. In May of 2020, I had the honor of being appointed Director of the Placer County Department of Child Support Services.
Before moving to California, from 2014 through April of 2020, I served as the Project Manager for five judicial districts operated by YoungWilliams in the State of Wyoming. Before moving to Wyoming, I worked for YoungWilliams as a child support attorney in their Olathe, Kansas office for one year. I joined YoungWilliams in 2013 after working for nine years as a child support attorney for the State of Kansas.
I am a proud class of 2016 NCSEA U graduate, co-chair of the NCSEA Connects Subcommittee, and co-facilitator of the NCSEA Connects Training group.
I graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 with highest distinction and with departmental honors in both my undergraduate majors. I attended the University of Kansas Law School where I was a Rice Scholar, and I graduated in 2001. I am licensed to practice law in Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming.
In my free time, I am a total science nerd and literature geek. I love to read, cook, shop, and spend time with my husband, Jason. I have one well-loved and spoiled, almost 18-year old cat, Witty, upon whom I have doted since she claimed me as her human (and servant) when she was two years old.
