UFISA 101
Child support is a critical source of income for many families but the collection of child support when parents reside in different jurisdictions historically has been challenging for the Title IV-D Program. The Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) of 2008 is the uniform body of law in every state that provides the legal structure for intergovernmental child support establishment, enforcement, and modification. Come hear our UIFSA experts explain the basics of intergovernmental child support such as: continuing, exclusive jurisdiction; direct income withholding; and the play-away rule. Various case scenarios will be woven throughout the presentation to test your knowledge in this fun UIFSA 101 webinar!
