NCSEA Connects: Intergovernmental – Individualized Enforcement Options

During this month's discussion, the discussion topic will be:

Your office receives a request to enforce another state’s order, either via registration for enforcement or administrative enforcement in lieu of registration. However, the initiating state only wants your jurisdiction to use one or two enforcement remedies, not full enforcement on the case. They might be requesting this because they have already registered their order in another state for full enforcement, and they only want your state to intercept a bank account, to place a lien on personal property, or a similar “one-shot” enforcement tool. Is your jurisdiction able to comply with this request? Or are you a “full services only” agency?
